08147 and 08170 are stabled at Sunderland South Dock in this photo from early 1982. Three vacuum-only Gateshead shunters stabled
here over the weekend, along with a half-a-dozen Class 37s. The short trip out from Newcastle, and subsequent walk from the station
down to South Dock, was a good value excursion. En-route you'd normally see a Class 03 at Tyneside CFT and another at Sunderland station,
plus a further Class 08 at Monkwearmouth.
